The story of YAK began as a family
orientated crew that started way back in
the late 60's into the early 70's, when they
were known as the 'Legendary NYC Float
Committee'.
By 1991 the crew had already achieved
great heights in the breakdancing scene
earning their name and right of passage,
laying the building blocks of the pathway
just as the Romans did, for all future B-Boys
and B-Girls.
Giving us the very foundation that we have
come to know and love today.
Performing along side the King of pop,
Michael Jackson, Michael J. Fox, Bobby
Brown, Whitney Houston, and other well
known artists across the globe; forever
bringing innovation to the scene as hitters
(otherwise recognised as ' street
performers') & B-Boys in the competitive
realm and professional self taught
performers.
In 1995' when YAK was born, OG's such as
Universal (The Godfather) & Zone TDK,
Klown, DJ Spivey, Wayne Blizz, Big 'E,
Chukka, Eddy Edd, passed the torch to the
next generation in the bloodline: Biz Arkee,
Ad - Vance, Josh The Great, Teflon, Beans
aka Chris Styles, Patrix, Lil E, Day Day, Sham
God, Tavo, Slim, G-Matic, amongst other
family members formed - YAK Crew.
