Hello Everyone, I am raising funds for Heal The Hood Project by selling various products that I am creating. This book, concept and historical first person video documenting of first hand heritage is called "Reconnect the String" . 

Anyone that contributes any amount will under $25 will get a PDF version of the book, which I am selling hardcopy of the book for $25. I am aiming to raise $5000 by getting pre-ordered sales of 200 books. For an extra $15 you could get an autographed hardcopy of the book & participate in global Zoom calls (for now ... physical gatherings in the near future) with other "Artivists" & "Creatives" to find creative solutions to our personal, communal & global problems. Each person will also be notified of each heritage video created and shared online. Once you pre-order, please email me your mailing address for hard-copy or PDF of book to [email redacted]  

ABOUT THE BOOK, CONCEPT & VIDEOS

"Reconnect The String" exposes the First Nation / African Origin Of Hip Hop Culture through showing parallels of expression, it records local first person history about Hip Hop from practitioners & connects people internationally to share talents, skills & resources to regain our humanity & family. 

"Reconnect the String" is born out of the Bushman thinking that we have broken the connection to our past, present and thus future. We are also separated from our selves, our spirit, nature and thus we cannot connect. This is also about first person stories and telling our own heritage. Our stories need to be retold by us and this is what i have started in Cape Town. I am reaching out to encourage others to do the same globally by connecting with them and asking them to collect their own stories to rewrite their own histories. Reconnect The String is also about the real friendships and family that Hip Hop has globally, outside of industry. Lastly, decolonization or rehumanization of information demands that we reach back into the real heritage of a culture that is deeply rooted in Africa, African & thus all Human (Africa The Cradle of Humanity) forms of expression. 

The book explains various lessons that I learned in the last 27 years of being involved in Hip Hop Culture. Chapter 1:- The Illusion of Nothingness - Hip Hop has a deep heritage of the people that manifested it in the South Bronx. A heritage that goes back to the first people of all people in Africa. Chapter 2:- Speaks on greeting and recognizing the humanity in others and thus our equality. Chapter 3:- Is about the Ancient Circle and its current manifestation and power in Hip Hop. Chapter 4:- Is about the handclaps & cyclic chants around the circle that gave birth to the rhythmic trance and loop and DJ. Chapter 5:- The Trance Dancer or B-boy is the healing that is attained from letting go in the circle and letting the feeling or rhythm take charge of your body. Chapter 6:- Tells of the Storyteller that manifests the words and makes real the lessons sent in the circle. This became the MC. Chapter 7:- Speaks about the Rock Artist who depicted the session of trance dance and journey from this realm to another onto and into the rock. This is the modern day aerosol artist or writer. Chapter 8:- Breaks down the power of the traditional village and its role on raising the child. The community in Hip Hop is that village and has helped with security, mentorship, etc. Chapter 9:- Is Knowledge Of Self, that is the infinite search for self and purpose in the world, through alternative information and openness to always be a student. Chapter 10:- The Elder or in Hip Hop the OG serves as a holder of experience that can be passed on to selected youth. This is an African and first nation tradition, where knowledge and more importantly experience is passed down for free, unlike in western education. Chapter 11:- The Cycle is the passing on of your energy from generation to generation and thus keeping yourself alive through others that pass on the lessons making the “I” less important to the “we”, yet holding the respect and accountability to share and grow as a collective within the world and nature. Chapter 12:- Is the creativity that we are and how it holds our solutions and power to create a new reality for ourselves. It is also ironically taken out of the school systems and made to seem of lesser value, when all wealth is the usages of others creations for the wealth of the few. Chapter 13:- the "Mathematics of Survival and then Thriving", that I used over the last 27 years to pay bills, buy a house and car, etc. Also how to diversify your creative incomes streams, making creativity and cash flow have endless potential, but also to PUT BACK INTO YOUR COMMUNITY. Chapter 14:- Is our plan to grow together and become the change that we wish to see as a Hip Hop/ Artist/ community. It is a call out to those who have experience, knowledge and wealth to share with those who have not yet found their way, to bring about a new thinking and empowered people.
This is the outline of the book and intention of this project. Today is day one of the projects launch and I hope that others join by emailing me and lets build together. I am not interested in huge, empty, action-less numbers, nor focussing on wealth. I am interested in a friendship and family that transcends the illusion of abundance or economic wealth. We can be spiritually wealthy and emotionally healthy together. Email me at [email redacted] and lets talk and grow. Creating solutions together. Only "A Change Of Mind, Changes Actions".

AUTHENTIC VOICES AFRICA: SEPTEMBER 2021 THEME- IDENTITY

Its a great honour to invite our close and distant relatives both on the African continent and the diaspora to connect, unify and build with us this September under theme IDENTITY.

Our convening will be focused on the urgent need to Explore, Celebrate and Reclaiming our Identity.) We are embarking on this journey to share knowledge ,preserve culture and to celebrate our voices.

Authentic Voices Africa requests practitioners from different practices to ;

1. Share a 1 minute video (should be in landscape format) talking about IDENTITY in they perspective.

2. Write a brief statement (one paragraph) about IDENTITY.

3. Create a poem ,verse ,hook ,audio or song with theme IDENTITY.

The above requests are required to be submitted via email : authenticvoicesafrica OR WhatsApp number +256784221279 with deadline day 9th September as we will be sharing and streaming these submissions on our media platforms.

We also be having an online panel discussion on 11th and the 25th of September where we host practitioners from the continent and diaspora to explore ,share and discuss on IDENTITY.

 Ребята из Уганды пригласили поучаствовать в их новом проекте под названием "Аутентичные голоса Африки". Конго, Уганда, Мавритания, Марокко - далеко не весь перечень стран, которые представят свои голоса в этом проекте. Среди не африканских стран США, Англия и теперь ЛНР. 

Цель проекта Authentic Voices Africa - открытый призыв собрать максимум практиков Хип-Хопа со всей Африки и за её пределами. Битмейкеры, рэперы, поэты, писатели, продюсеры, райтеры, бибои, диджеи будут участвовать в международном обмене между артистами. 
Обмен знаниями и опытом будет происходить в несколько этапов.
22 мая 2022 года активисты Хип-Хоп культуры из Уганды планируют провести фестиваль "Authentic Voices Africa".
В рамках международного сотрудничества музыка участников проекта будет теперь звучать в эфире FREAQ RADIYO Нефтерадио

A coalition of political prisoner organizations have come together for this year's Black August Concert! LIVE in West Philly, at the Gladys Inabinette Shoatz Community Sitting Garden and Totland, AKA The Maroon Garden at 58th and Locust! In the spirit of our fallen brother and revolutionary, George Jackson (Long Live The Dragon!), we gather to organize and to build!

Давно об этом думал. А тут еще недавно разговорились с Хип-Хоп историком, который крутил пластинки в 80-х, а сегодня занимается битмейкерством. У него кстати огромная коллекция винила. И да у него есть русские пластинки. Так вот Эриду (это так его зовут - примечание), говорит мне: "Йо Frix у меня много советских пластинок, и там много крутого фанкового саунда. Тебе не нужно искать фанк за границей, он у тебя перед носом". И это сказал мне выходец Пуерто-Рико, который сейчас живет в США. Он фанат музыки группы "Зодиак"и другой электронщины советской эпохи. Пластинок "Мелодия" у меня накопилось благодаря радиослушателям много, поэтому я начал делать миксы из цикла радиопередач "Возвращение в Эдем". Программа кстати продолжает выходить по воскресеньям в 14-10 по Луганскому времени на FREAQ RADIYO Нефтерадио
