Black August Concert

 

A coalition of political prisoner organizations have come together for this year's Black August Concert! LIVE in West Philly, at the Gladys Inabinette Shoatz Community Sitting Garden and Totland, AKA The Maroon Garden at 58th and Locust! In the spirit of our fallen brother and revolutionary, George Jackson (Long Live The Dragon!), we gather to organize and to build!

*There will also be Speakers, Vendors and a Call to Action to Free All of Our Political Prisoners!
*In addition, there will be an Open Mic for our community to share their creative gifts and inform us all about their community programs and projects!
Now is the time, during Black August, to further commit ourselves to the work to #FreeEmAll, from Russell Maroon Shoatz, Imam Jamil Al-Amin, Veronza Bowers to Mumia Abu Jamal! Ruchell Magee, Sundiata Acoli and Mutulu Shakur, to Joseph "Jojo" Bowen, Fred Muhammad Burton and so many more!
**People are encouraged to wear masks and practice physical distancing while in attendance.
